The size of the bird is that of a house crow about 32cm.It is a familiar slaty grey
bird with glistening metallic green,purple and magenta sheen on a neck and
upper breast.There are two dark bars on wings and a band across the end of
tail.Sexes are alike.In the field the bird is seen in flocks and colonies about
cliffs and human habitations.Distributions is throughout the Indian Union

etc.Nesting season is undefined practically all year in semi-feral birds.Nest
is a filmsy collection of a few sticks on a ledge,in a fissure of cliff,on
ceilings of dwelling houses etc.
